Paper Preparation and Submission Requirements

Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official conference paper template. Papers that do not meet the essential requirements may be returned for correction before peer review.

The use of the official Word template is mandatory. Please do not recreate the document in a separate file or change its page dimensions, margins or styles.

General Requirements
  • Papers may be submitted in Bulgarian or English.
  • The manuscript must be between 5 and 10 pages, including the abstract, tables, figures, references and appendices.
  • Papers must be submitted as an editable Microsoft Word document (.docx).
  • The page size, margins and formatting styles provided in the official template must not be changed.
  • The main text must be formatted in Times New Roman, 12 pt, with single line spacing and justified alignment.
  • Page numbers must not be inserted.
  • All grey instructional text and sample content included in the template must be deleted before submission.

First-Page Information

The first page must contain:

  • the title of the paper;
  • the full names and institutional affiliations of all authors;
  • the name and email address of the corresponding author;
  • the ORCID identifier of the corresponding author, where available;
  • a concise abstract of approximately 150 words;
  • up to five keywords;
  • relevant JEL classification codes.

The abstract must briefly present the research problem, objective, data and methods, principal findings and main contribution. It must be self-contained and must not contain footnotes.

For papers written in Bulgarian, the title, abstract, keywords and JEL classification codes must be provided in English.

Recommended Manuscript Structure

The structure should be appropriate to the type of research presented. Where applicable, authors are encouraged to include:

  1. Introduction
  2. Literature Review and Theoretical Background
  3. Methodology
  1. Results
  2. Discussion
  3. Conclusion
  4. References

Acknowledgements, Author Contributions, Ethics Statement, Data Availability Statement and a Declaration on the Use of Generative AI should be included where applicable.

Tables, Figures and Equations
  • Every table and figure must be referred to and discussed in the main text.
  • Tables must remain editable and must not be submitted as images.
  • Table titles must appear above the corresponding tables.
  • Figures must be inserted as single, self-contained objects and positioned In Line with Text.
  • Figure captions must appear below the corresponding figures.
  • Figures created from multiple elements must be grouped and inserted as one unified object or image.
  • All figures must remain legible at the final publication size and in greyscale.
  • Equations must remain editable and must be numbered consecutively at the right margin.
  • Sources must be provided for all tables and figures that are not entirely the authors’ own work.

References and Citations

All in-text citations and references must follow the APA 7th edition guidelines.

  • Arrange the reference list alphabetically by the surname of the first author.
  • Include DOI information in URL format, where available.
  • Ensure that every source cited in the manuscript appears in the reference list.
  • Include only sources that are cited in the manuscript.

Originality and Publication Ethics

Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must not have been previously published or simultaneously submitted elsewhere.

  • All sources and third-party materials must be properly acknowledged.
  • Authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the submitted manuscript.
  • Relevant conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
  • Authors must comply with the conference Peer Review and Publication Ethics Policy.
Any substantive use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies must be transparently disclosed. Generative AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
Full Paper Submission Deadline
15 January 2027

Manuscripts must be submitted through the conference submission system. Submission of a paper does not automatically guarantee its acceptance or publication. All manuscripts undergo preliminary editorial screening, text-similarity screening and academic peer review.
